Stakeholder workshop highlights the policy-making potential of the VALESOR tool
On November 19th, the VALESOR project hosted a virtual workshop bringing together stakeholders to explore the policy-making applications of the VALESOR tool.
The workshop aimed to ensure that the project’s outcomes will remain valuable and relevant beyond its conclusion. Stefan Åström opened the event with a warm welcome, offering an overview of the project and outlining the workshop agenda.
During the workshop, Michael Holland, EMRC, and Katarina Yaramenka, IVL, presented. Michael Holland discussed the Alpha-RiskPoll model for valuing the health effects of air pollution and the model for valuing the health effects of chemicals. Katarina Yeramenka focused on the VALESOR tool concept and the design and cases for the tool module for valuing the health effects of air pollution.
The session concluded with a dynamic discussion on the factors influencing the tool’s effectiveness in policy-making, ensuring its alignment with stakeholders’ needs.
